Last
night I attended an event for Nor Lisa Fashion. I have always loved the idea
of what goes on backstage before a show or production, behind the scenes when
it has yet to all come together and people are set in their own tasks and
preparations. I recently experienced this same at the Belfast School of Art,
Design and Fashion end of year degree show in the incredible St. Anne’s
cathedral. I knew I’d be keen to replicate the experience of working with such
limited lighting, in this instance the lighting was indeed difficult but I do
enjoy a challenge. Some of the images are of a documentary nature, some have a
stronger light source but all in all I really like the outcomes. The very tight
working space and the alternating paced nature of this type of show is always
unpredictable to photograph, I feel that is part of the intrigue however and I
love some of the moments I have captured as seen below.
